DATA: You Are What You Consume
Data are any pieces of information we use for any analysis.
Depending on an author’s creativity, you might find pyramids where data is in the basement; above it, there is information, above which, there is knowledge.
There is no pyramid, though, and knowledge gained at one level always serves data for the next in a spiral way. Consequently, it is critical to understand that the quality of the next level always depends on those before. If you feed in garbage, you get garbage as an output.
Treat data for any analysis diligently, leave tracks, and jot down your assumptions about the data’s value.
